NORDIC NEUROSCIENCE MEETING 2019

CALL FOR SYMPOSIA PROPOSALS

Featured image

The national neuroscience societies of the Nordic countries have engaged in organizing the 3rd Nordic Neuroscience Meeting in association with the Scandinavian Physiological Society. Previous NN meetings in Trondheim (2015) and Stockholm (2017) were great successes with top quality scientific programme and ~400 attendees.

The next NN2019 meeting will take place in Helsinki Finland June 12-14th 2019.

Please see the meeting website

The program will include five plenary lectures by leading neuroscientists in a broad spectrum of areas, a poster session, and 8 symposia. It is with respect to the latter that we are asking for your input.

We encourage all members, individually or as a team, to propose topics for a scientific symposium. The general guideline for symposia is that it comprises 3 speakers. Although speakers from Nordic countries are preferred, the main aim is to maintain the scientific quality of the symposia as high as possible and thus speakers from other countries are welcome as well. Each symposium will last 75 minutes, so three talks of 20 minutes followed by 5 minutes of discussion each.

Please provide us with a short description of the topic area and the three possible speakers you have in mind, naturally you may include yourself as a speaker or as chair of the symposium. Include the affiliation and an email address for each of the proposed speakers.

Submit your proposal no later than Friday 21th September to the Local organizing committee per email shown below. The program committee of the Nordic Neuroscience 2019 will then consider all suggestion for a final approval.

We hope to receive many interesting and inspiring proposals. Thank you!
